kgolo TAWANA II, Paramount Chief of the baTawana since 1995 A man
with one foot in politics and the other deeply routed in the lands of
his people, a passion for history, philosophy, the arts and
conservation.
His
forefather, Letsholathebe II Moremi established the world famous
Moremi Game Reserve (the first to be designated by a chief and his
tribe) in 1961 then approved by the people in 1963 and finally
designated by the government in 1965 and the heritage continues.
